Being good at grown up events

At the begin of the month, we had to attend to very grown up events in two days. Great-grandma Kath Stewart's funeral on the Friday then Greg and Rassa's wedding on the Saturday. Sophie was on her best behavior for both events. Although the funeral was a sad event it was also a great celebration of a long and well lived life. All but 2 of her 13 great grand children were able to attend. The 3 that were born last year were all very good during the funeral with was a full requiem mass at Newcastle Catherdral. Sophie was very impressed with the music. The pipe organ was playing a beautiful march as the coffin was processed in. The solemn silence that followed was only broken by Sophie's cry of "More!" which was repeated after every musical interlude. The great grandkids had a great time with each other afterwards especially the older 8 who headed down to the park with Uncle Angus and 'accidentally' all fell in the pond.
Sophie was also really well behaved at Greg and Rassa's wedding. She hardly cried at all and even slept at the reception. Until the music started, then she woke up (without tears) and was impressed by the lights and the dancing. Elizabeth, the flower girl, was glad to have a little company.
